'real encounter¡¯ through visual, physical performance collaborative work
Company is collaborating with multicultural artists. Performers are highly professional working in Traditional
Performing Arts and contemporary Theatre in Korea. Gihak Ji was awarded as national treasures inherit 2005 for
Pansori Singing. Costume artist, Myung Ah Lee is one of the busiest designers in Korea. Her work with Yo Haeng
Ja company has been touring in many international theatre festivals including Bite for Barbican Centre , 2006.
The sound designer (a composer, a cellist) Greg Hall has been working extensively with Contemporary Dance
Theatre including Zapry and Zanussi in U.K. Multimedia Artist Li E Chen has worked with Theatre companies for
interactive vedio art in U.K. The Lighting designer has been working with Theatre companies including
¡®Imogen¡¯ in U.K. The company works in true collaboration that each of the designers and performers brings
their ideas to try. Breaking the conventional way of producing theatre, without having answer during the
developmental phase, the company created a highly visual theatre work in ¡® A Dream of Butterfly¡¯
Costume: Myung Ah Lee
One of the most popular Korean Costume designer, Myung Ah Lee has started her career as an actress in
well known Korean companies, Yoenheedan and Michoo (1992-1996) which whe developed her design
contemporary concept of traditional costume. She has designed most of the Yoehangja company's production
including 'summer night dream' which was invited to international festivals, as well as Bite,
in Barbican, 2006.
Sound: Gregory Hall
Greg is a London born composer, cellist and performer. Credit includes: the Liverpool based new music
group Strange Brood. Conference of Birds (2004) Cameo (2004) Early One Morning as the Sunset (2005),
a short film by director Jenny Lu ( premiered at the Ginza Art Laboratory in Japan 2006).
Greg has also worked recently as an ethnomusicologist for the British Library making field recordings
in South Africa.
Light: Pablo Fernandez
Pablo Fernandez Baz was born in Galicia (Spain), studied lighting, photography and Cinema at the EIS
School(Spain) and CSSD, London. His work as lighting designer includes Classical acting, circus and
physical Theatre(circus Space, FZ company), Puppets and lighting installation (nominated for a National
prize for new artist(Spain)). At the moment he is the resident for Sketty productions, whose first show
"Imogen" has been a huge success.
